Sebastian Achaval y Roxana Suarez
Sebastian Achaval y Roxana Suarez are well know to China tango community, since they been to China in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016. Sebastian y Roxana are most eminent representatives of the so called young tango de salon generation, combining the greatest traditions with youthful energy and genuine passion. Their style is characterized by lightness and elegance, agility and precision. The tango they dance can be seen at the Buenos Aires milongas.
For them, what matters in tango most are feelings and the quality of movement. They both started to dance in their childhood. In 2005, Sebastian won the World Tango Championships. Roxana, having been chosen the best young dancer in 2004, honed her skills in the Tango Styles Academy. So they joined their ways to start a common career back in February 2007. Loved by all and sundry, they are invited to workshops and festivals all over the world, and their presence causes a great commotion even at their native Buenos Aires milongas. Since 2010 They perform in great theaters with Tango Mas Tango Company. They also run their own studio in Buenos Aires, called “Ensueño”.
Horacio Godoy y Cecilia Berra
Horacio Godoy is known throughout the world as a maestro of maestros. Having started tango in 1991 working for his sister, Mora Godoy, a famous tango choreographer, he soon opened La Viruta in 1996 which today is one of the most famous tango venues today offering dancing until 6am most nights of the week in Buenos Aires. La Viruta sees over 1,000 dancers each night in the busy season. When Horacio is not at home running this popular milonga and teaching packed classes, he travels the world teaching tango.
Cecilia Berra began her career as a tango dancer in 1998 and as a teacher in 2001. Formed in different disciplines such as dance, circus, contact improvisation. She learned from greatest masters of Tango (Walter Gomez, Luciana Valle, Dina Martinez, Gustavo Naveira, Claudio Gonzalez, Melina Brufman, Mariela Sametband, Gaston Torelli, Cecilia García) evolving her tango along the years and her own techniques. She currently resides in Barcelona where she is a Teacher and Organizer of the Aquelarre Tango Milonga
Cristian Palomo y Melisa Sacchi
Cristian Palomo and Melisa Sacchi, the 2016 World Tango Champions, are talented and well rounded representatives of a generation of young dancers who are dedicated to the art and tradition of tango.
Cristian comes from a family of folkloric dancers, his love for dancing started in 1999 in the ballet folclorico municipal de Gral. San Martin and went on learning, performing and gaining recognition. His first contact with tango was in 2003 at the National Institute of ARt (IUNA).
Melisa started ballet as a kid and started her tango training in 2001 with several instructors, milongueros and choreographers. Incristian palomo and Melisa sacchi are the 2016 salon champion. 2007 she was selected to enter the Academia de Estilos de Tango Argentino (ACETA). She has been performing and further her trainig.
They move with exquisite quality and presence.they have very sollid and sharp footwork, especially good at on the rthymeica musicality. They are not only beautiful dancers but also excellent teachers.
Cristian and Melisa met five years ago dancing D'Arienzo in a milonga in San Telmo. Together they joined the tango company of Jesucaute Velázquez, they taught, and performed in shows and milongas in Buenos Aires. In 2015 they won the Metropolitan tango championship and arrived seconds in the World Championship for tango salon, that they won in 2016, and in the final for stage tango too.
